Knight Tales

As the story goes, a life time of war and struggle still continues in the empire for the old knight Ryais Solotares. He an his wife still own houses in the capital and the city of drominham, though upon the summons of the pope herself he once more took up the cloth at her side. The swordsman guild was left in the hands of his retainers to select a new guildmaster who would be suitable to the task of running the guild, and holding fast to the terms of neutrality and percision. As time passed again the entire family Del Ranessa, and those of the Solotares clan were 'absorbed' into the church in one format or another. The old Duke having children in the branches of the knighthood, the cloth, and the reborn but silent inquisition that oddly the pope asked this time he not take the reins of, least not yet. The influence of the two houses, through marrage, careful political alliances and the standing of the old hero's name contiued to grow in power and sway till even the emperor took notice. It is said at this time, Ryais still sits upon the college of cardinals, his wife Cyara is said to influence the inquisition though no one will name the person in charge of the shadowy branch. As well as a grandson and granddaughter fostered out to house Highwind. Wards or hostages, no one is quite sure. Time still passes the story quietly goes on.
