Born to Pendant and Steff in the capitol city of New Junonsburg shortly after their marriage, Fuerte is the couple's only child. Being a child of nobility and a scholar, she is well raised and schooled, and, for her age at least, quite knowledgable. Curiously, due to the common ( and slightly feral ) background of her parents she has not been raised completely in the iron-clad fashion of a child of nobility. Rather, although many of the things necessary for a little girl in such a position are taught her, they are taught after a slightly more liberal fashion, and mixed amongst her dolls, dresses, and lady-like upbringing, is the odd adventure story, toy sword, and lesson in history, mathematics, and even to some extent the sciences.
This has lead to Fuerte being, although still quite a girlish child, highly inquisitive about many of the things little boys are also.. and quite a few daydreams concerning swashbuckling and the like, the girl to be found playing adventures almost as often, if not more often, as playing 'house'. Still, brought north with her parents as she was, the little girl has had far less opportunity to wander outside as she used to, and so quite often finds herself rather at a loose end ( and thus occasionally getting herself into mischief ).
