Gaia has been awakened. The world shook, the earth quaked, and every race on the face of the planet changed forever. Now she's be awoken once more, and now you have a new delimma.
The Empire has been progressing it's goals with Technology and Magic almost as far as they can imagine, while the Church has finally removed it's restraints on Technology to those select few who are joined to the Faithful Engineers.
Gaia is not pleased.
Technology as she sees it is like a blight on her body, which she seeks to expel. Now you, be you Hero, Villain, or just your Neighbor's Barber, are now in peril. Technology and Magic now have an effect likened to Matter and Anti-Matter. Tech and Magic now cancel each other out, with some devestating effects.(Tech&Magic_Conflict)
Lives have been ruined. Familes have been destroyed. Cities are forced to take a stand. The Empire hangs in the balance. War beckons on the horizon. The spirits are angry, and no longer bound by the Great Pact that once ruled humekind and immortal alike.
The great country of Valente once again stands proud and tall, independent of foreign occupation, but the east is unsettled, and the west flexes its true might for the first time. And those caught in the middle, Imperial and Valentian alike, must prepare.
